The path to progress as a photographer comes in similar forms. We look at other creatives studying the ways they work and how they make their art and try to mimic what they’re doing, but you will always end up being second best. No matter what gear we have or how nice our social media looks to our viewers, we risk stagnation if we aren’t learning from fellow photographers. If you specialize in one genre of photography, I can’t recommend enough studying the work of other photographers in other genres.
